The Gearhead Gunsmith Presents - The GHG-100/25 Nambu "Tensei" Carbine
The GHG-100/25 Nambu “Tensei” Carbine is a semi-automatic pistol-caliber carbine inspired by the iconic form and function of Japan’s late-war Type 100 submachine gun. Developed by The Gearhead Gunsmith of Rosenberg, Texas, the Tensei ("Rebirth") pays tribute to a rare and innovative weapon from the Pacific Theater - reborn in the modern era using durable materials and precision manufacturing methods.
Chambered in 9×19mm and fed by robust PPS-43 magazines, the GHG-100/25 features a closed-bolt, semi automatic blowback action designed for smooth, reliable operation. Its precision CNC laser cut receiver and hand-finished wood stock offer a distinctive blend of old-world aesthetics and contemporary handling.
Whether you're a collector, enthusiast, or shooter seeking something truly unique, the Tensei brings a piece of history to life in a package that’s as functional as it is iconic.
The "Founders Edition" Tensei Carbine is Limited Edition
Limited to a short batch of only 25 units, the "Founders Edition" Tensei Carbines are made available exclusively to friends and family of The Gearhead Gunsmith staff. Each "Founders Edition" carbine comes with a challenge coin and a signed certificate of authenticity.
The "Founders Edition" version of the Nambu Tensei Carbine is dedicated to all of those who believed in us from the very beginning. The words of wisdom, praise, and constructive criticism ever since this project began reflected heavily on the final version of the design, and I owe a debt of gratitude to everyone who helped push me across the finish line.

Gearhead Precision LLC was founded on the framework of our previous venture, Gearhead Guns LLC - at the time, one of the only independent home-based Federal Firearms Licensees in the Los Angeles, California area. When the cost of doing business in California skyrocketed due in part to a sharp increase in stringent regulations and fees caused us to seek greener pastures in the great state of Texas.
Our goal has always been to provide affordable and professional manufacturing services catering to individuals, and to businesses of all sizes.
Outside of firearms and firearm components, we provide engineering and manufacturing solutions for a wide variety of industries, including but not limited to aerospace, automotive, and robotic automation.
